Passion & Story
I am
Tijan Wenzel,
a lover and connoisseur of wines produced with less intervention in the vineyard and cellar.
I come from a wine-growing area, so I have been involved in wine stories since I was a little girl.
I also help out in the family business, where we use old wine barrels, bottles, and other wine accessories to make modern furniture and furnishings for wineries, wine lovers, restaurants, etc.
Working with wood, especially old wood, fascinates me. I also make wine cabinets from old, unused cabinets, giving them a new lease of life, which is also wine-related.
I'm also a big sports fan, especially cycling and football. I like to explore forests, mountains, and places around Slovenia by bike, where I always find inspiration for my work.
I'm also perfect in the kitchen, where I always feel great because I can show some of my passion on the plates. I like to prepare seafood, from octopus to various fish, all of which find their way into my pot. The fire on the grill often gets hot too.
Early beginnings
My story began in an interesting and unusual way...
I fell in love with natural wines the first time I tasted wine from Mr. Božidar Zorjan. At that time, his wine not only made me happy but also energized me.
That's when my view of viticulture changed completely, I started to get to know winemakers from Slovenia and abroad.
I used to prepare the best dishes in the kitchen, which I changed to serving and started training in the best restaurants around Slovenia. I got the opportunity to work in one of the best restaurants in the world, Hiša Franko, where I learned a lot about wine and service. The experience of working in such a renowned restaurant is invaluable and I always put it to good use.
My path also took me abroad, to Sweden to be precise. I worked as a sommelier in a restaurant with an extensive wine list, which gave me a lot of experience in wine service.
We have also organized many wine events with renowned winemakers.

Experience
I want to share my passion with you
I also gained experience in several Maribor pubs such as:
- Rooster coffee,
- LeVino wine bar (large selection of Styrian wines, including natural ones),
- Fudo Restaurant (a fine-dining restaurant with an extensive wine list),
- Restaurant 7 (I worked as a mentor to younger students)
I want to share my passion with you because I want you to discover the world of natural wines and cuisine.
